Charismatic or Collective Politician

Can a political leader have a Global Historical Consciousness?

Politics has always focused almost exclusively on creating a charismatic figure who can lead a community, a country, or a state in the hope that they can represent the collective of all its supporters. However, the complexity of today's society requires a change of course: political decisions can no longer be made by a single mind, but must be the result of a discussion among many people with different experiences and viewpoints.
The need for a more global vision in politics has become increasingly evident in recent decades. The world has become increasingly complex, interconnected, and globalized, and the problems that society must face have become correspondingly more interdependent or interconnected. Politics must therefore be able to address these issues and this would be certainly more achievable through the creation of a space of interaction and dialogue between citizens, social groups, and political representatives.
The problem with a government system based on the "charismatic figure" is that it favors the creation of leaders who promote their own individuality and who often lose sight of collective interests. Moreover, decisions based on the experience of a single mind make it difficult to create a dialogue between different social groups, because creating a space from which a shared vision can emerge is difficult.
Instead, a historical consciousness is necessary that is able to confront present and future challenges. A "collective mind" could therefore represent the bridge between the world of politics and that of the citizen, promoting greater active participation in the decision-making process, a continuous dialogue between the institution, the company, and civil society, not to mention the implicit transparency of the decisions made.
A single mind can never by its nature have a global vision, no matter how much it tries to study and analyze as many variables as possible, there will always be something that statistically goes beyond its predictions. Unfortunately, nowadays such variables are also reflected in apparently simple decisions, such as the difficulty in finding solutions to problems in the healthcare system, infrastructure, or social inequalities, not to mention education and the fight against corruption.
Furthermore, current politics is often oriented towards the short term, favoring solutions that are also limited, based on a single generation rather than a farsighted vision. In this category fall the problems that society must face in terms of environmental crisis, such as ecology and sustainability, the protection of endangered species, anomalies in cosmic activity that may have a destructive influence on this planet, or issues that should be measured more in geological eras than in terms of a few decades.
Finding durable solutions over time has always been a difficult task in itself but when there are voices that are ignored from the outset, often due to the prejudices of political leaders, it becomes more difficult to even theorize a solution, let alone implement it in practice.
Finally, the fact that politics as it is currently understood is in fact a representation of a vertical form of power, which extends from the summit to the top of the power pyramid. On the contrary, politics based on a collective and historical consciousness is horizontal and is based on cooperation between different social groups, favoring the active participation of citizens in the decision-making process.
However, although the idea of a synaptically connected human vision at the physical level is fascinating, from a biological and scientific point of view it is currently not feasible to physically link the brains of two or more individuals. It is therefore necessary, for now, to exploit other potentials to achieve the goal of a global inclusive vision of political decisions.
The use of Artificial Intelligence as a "digital supervisor" can provide a valuable alternative to addressing modern political demands. AI is able to quickly and accurately analyze a huge amount of data from different sources, taking into account the entire population and territories involved. This ability allows for a wider and more complete view of problems, costs, benefits, and proposed laws, taking into account the social and geographic complexity of the communities involved.
Thanks to its automatic learning capability, an AI can suggest innovative solutions based on past experiences and risk analysis. By studying how similar problems have been solved in the past, it can provide detailed suggestions and evaluate the impact of political decisions, seeking to ensure a balance between different viewpoints and the needs of everyone.
In addition to data analysis and solution generation, it could also encourage greater citizen participation in the decision-making process. Through direct communication/interaction tools and virtual interaction, a digital assistant (which could easily be present among the many applications of a modern phone) would allow for more direct communication between community members and political representatives, creating an environment in which everyone can express their opinions and contribute actively to the discussion and formulation of public policies.
By using the aforementioned tools, the limitations of a single mind could be overcome, creating a more rational and inclusive decision-making process, in the hope that it will also be possible to create a fairer and more effective political system.
